Section Chief
Preston Kunkle
Vigil Honor
Meet your Section Chief, Preston Kunkle! Preston is a member of Muscogee Lodge #116 in South Carolina. Previously, he has served as Section Vice Chief, Administration CVC, and Lodge Chief. He is currently in his second term as Section Chief. Preston has also served on staff for the National Leadership Seminar, National Order of the Arrow Conference, and served a term on the Scouts BSA National Youth Council.
As Section Chief, Preston is focused on growing Conclave attendance, strengthening collaboration between lodges, and helping every Arrowman thrive. His goals include helping lodges to roll out the new Induction Experience, creating spaces for lodge leaders to connect, and providing targeted support through mentors and advisers across the section. He’s also committed to using section resources to preserve and strengthen OA traditions.
Preston is a student at the University of South Carolina Honors College, majoring in Political Science with plans to attend law school. He looks forward to meeting as many Arrowmen as possible and hosting an unforgettable Cornerstone Conclave in 2027!
Section Vice Chief
Ben Bruh
Vigil Honor
Meet your Section Vice Chief, Ben Bruh! Ben is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of Catawba Lodge #459 in North Carolina. Previously, he has served as Ceremonies Events CVC, Lodge Vice Chief, Chapter Chief, and as numerous Committee Chairs. This year, he will be serving as a member of Operation Arrow at the National Scout Jamboree.
As Section Vice Chief, Ben plans to intentionally promote brotherhood and bonding within the Section, implement a long-term training program that will keep Arrowmen interested in the Section, their Lodge, and leadership, and help lodges make the transition to the new inductions process. He will work alongside the other Section and Lodge leaders to plan and provide support to the Section Induction Experience in September, followed by Conclave 2027!
Ben is a Senior at Cox Mill High School, with plans to attend an in-state University in the fall of 2027. He is highly involved in the school’s theatre program as a member of the International Thespian Society. He is very excited to visit lodges and put on the best Conclave yet at Camp Conley Clarke in April!

Jackson Laufer
Vigil Honor
Meet your Section Secretary, Jackson Laufer! Jackson is a Vigil Honor member of Tsali Lodge #134 in North Carolina. He has previously served as Special Events CVC and Lodge Chief.
As Section Secretary, Jackson will strive to create an inter-lodge communication system so that lodges can share ideas and traditions with one another. He is proud to work with the Section this year as it plans to roll out its lodge mentorship program, and as he works alongside the Section CVCs to create an amazing Conclave for all of E7’s Arrowmen.
He is thankful to the members of Section E7 for entrusting him to serve the Section alongside each and every lodge member and leader.
