This month (July 21-26), several delegates from Section E7 attended the National Council of Chiefs held at the Philmont Training Center in Cimmaron, New Mexico. The delegates from our section included Preston Kunkle (Section Chief), Maddie Wilson (Section Secretary), Lucia Guastaferro (Atta Kulla Kulla Lodge Chief), Jackson L. (Tsali Lodge Chief), and Drew Barton (Unali ‘Yi Lodge Chief).
Section E7’s section officers and lodge chiefs joined hundreds of other lodge and section leaders from across the nation to learn useful skills from a team of experienced trainers at the national level. Training sessions at the NCOC touched on topics ranging from leadership strategy to social media promotion methods.
Our delegates also got to witness firsthand the new induction experience and ceremonies changes introduced by the Inductions and Ceremonies Experience team on the National Order of the Arrow Committee. The National Committee’s currently unfinalized draft implements sweeping changes to the Order’s traditional ceremonies and inductions procedure, and more details should be published in the coming months to answer
